It might be a little chilly outside, but you can find a touch of spring in Selsey on Saturday May 7th at the Selsey Centre (Manor Road, Selsey, PO20 0SE).
Following hot on the heels of a successful St. George’s Day concert in Midhurst (click here for a review in the West Sussex County times) you can hear a reprise of some of the rousing music from that programme plus some new pieces.
TICKETS: £10/£8 including refreshments are available from the Selsey Centre (01243 603836) or on the door.
The band is teaming up with Midhurst Museum to present an evening of English music to mark St. George’s Day (Saturday 23rd April) at the Memorial Hall in North Street, Midhurst.
Midhurst Museum is a little gem situated in Knockhundred Market in the centre of the town. First opened in December 2011, it has been described as ‘probably the smallest museum in the world’ and presents constantly changing displays relating to Midhurst and the surrounding area. The Museum has recently opened a new area – Museum Too – that provides a permanent display with a timeline of Midhurst and district from Stone age to the present day. As a registered charity, the Museum is entirely dependent on volunteers and donations.
The band and the museum have developed a strong working relationship over the last few years and are delighted to be joining forces to put on this concert, the proceeds of which will go to help both organisations.
